Have you wondered why the people and your organization or life can’t really tell you what is wrong or what the problem is. Never ask a fish what the taste of water is (He has lied in it all his life and for a long time). Your immediate work force or members may not be able to tell you what is wrong either. Every time I am doing a business process re-engineering, the manager will give me some graphs and high sounding staff but I have also learnt to step out as leaders to parking lots to speak with gardeners, security men etc. Every customer is got a remote control in their hands to click on who they want to stay with, for they have a short attention span. So as leaders, learn to have good relationships with your work force across all boards to be able to provide holistic services to the people you serve.
